The Christchurch cyclist Michael Vink will take a four-second lead into today's second stage of the New Zealand Cycle Classic in Manuwatu.
Vink won the opening day time trial from Australian Brenton Jones.
Today's 172-kilometre stage is out and back from Palmerston North.
