China's Li Na has claimed her maiden Australian Open tennis title, beating diminutive Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova 7-6 6-0 in the women's final at Melbourne Park.
The 31-year-old world No.4 is the oldest women's winner in the 45-year history of professional tennis.
Victory earned Li $2.42 million in prize money and a second grand slam title after she became China's first-ever grand slam singles champion at the 2011 French Open.
Coming up short in 2011 and last year's final meant victory this year was third time lucky for Li.
