Auckland golfer Tae Koh has won the Australian Amateur Championship.

The 19-year-old from the Manukau Golf Club, who was four up over West Australian Curtis Luck after the first 18 holes of the 36 hole final, completed a dominant performance to win 6 and 5 at the Grange Golf Club in Adelaide.

Koh, who has never won a national title in NZ, became the first New Zealand golfer to win the Australian Amateur Championship in 22 years since Michael Campbell won in 1992.

He is only the third New Zealand golfer to have won the Australian Amateur after Campbell and CES Gillies in 1899.
