The NSW Waratahs Super 14 rugby side have signed 21-year-old South African Hendrik Roodt on a two-year deal to bolster their second row.
Roodt, a former member of the Blue Bulls squad in South Africa's top-flight Currie Cup competition, joins the Waratahs after a break from the game this year.
Waratahs' recruiters have been in overdrive in recent weeks, signing Chiefs full-back Sosene Anesi on a one-year deal, along with Australia internationals Berrick Barnes and Drew Mitchell.
