The German cyclist, Andre Greipel, says he has no chance of creating cycling history by becoming the first rider to win the Tour Down Under three times.
The sprint star, who won the Tour in 2008 and 2010, arrived in Adelaide today and immediately wrote off his prospects of another win.
Greipel has won more stages than any other cyclist in the race's history, but he says he will not win the tour another time, because the race continues to become harder and harder.
Instead the 31-year-old tipped his Lotto Belisol teammate, Australian Adam Hansen, as his team's best chance to claim an overall victory in the race, which runs from January 19-26..
