The Auckland City striker Roy Krishna is poised to become the first Fijian footballer to play in the A-League after joining the Wellington Phoenix.
Krishna has been signed till the end of the season as an injury replacement for Paul Ifill who ruptured an Achilles tendon last month.
Phoenix head coach Ernie Merrick says he's delighted to land such a prolific striker and looked forward to working with Krishna.
