Two top sides have have struggled on the first day of section play in the men's fours at the national open bowls championship in Dunedin.
Gary Lawson's team, including Blackjacks Shannon McIlroy and Danny Delaney, has secured just one win from three games.
Teams must win four from six to qualify for post section play.
Meanwhile Alvin Gardiner's team has sealed just one win as well.
More successful have been Peter Belliss's team and sides skipped by Blackjacks Andrew Kelly and Ali Forsyth.
Meantime world number one Jo Edwards and Anne Bateman skipped their teams through unbeaten.
