The world number three David Ferrer has arrived in Auckland amidst speculation he may win the tournament for a record fifth time.
The first seed has a bye straight into the second round where he'll face the Argentinian Frederico Delbonis or a qualifier.
Ferrer says he's focused on his first match and not another title.
