The American tennis player Venus Williams will feature in an all-American semi-final at the Auckland women's Classic today.
The former world numberone beat Spaniard Garbine Muguruza in straight sets in last evening's quarter final and will play compatriot, fifth seed Jamie Hampton.
In the other semi final ,Serb second seed Ana Ivanovic , will face Belgian third seed Kirsten Flipkens.
Meanwhile tournament director Karl Budge says the chances of securing Wimbledon champion, Andy Murray, for the start of next week's Heineken Open in Auckland is highly unlikely but he's expecting to know either way today.
If Murray turns down the wild card entry it's likely to go to New Zealand number one Rubin Statham.
