Central Coast Mariners have confirmed their All Whites star Michael McGlinchey will join a Japanese club on loan for the next 12 months.
The move has been encouraged by the Mariners coach Phil Moss, and McGlinchey will be available for his A-League club for the next two matches before joining the J-League club Vegalta Sendai whose coach is the ex-Mariners boss Graham Arnold.
McGlinchey is replacing 21-year-old Bernie Ibini who's returning to the reigning A-League champions to be closer to his family after the recent death of his father.
