Black Sticks coach rings the changes

The New Zealand women's hockey coach Mark Hager has rung the changes in the Black Sticks squad for their next international assignment, the USA tournament in February.

And Hager's making it clear that World Cup spots are still up for grabs.

After a disappointing performance at the recent World League finals where they finished fifth, Hager has made seven changes to his squad.

He says the squad for the June World Cup in the Netherlands isn't set in stone stone and the February tournament is a chance to give others a chance to prove themselves.

The Black Sticks will play the United States and England at the tournament.

The full squad is: Sam Charlton, Sophie Cocks, Michaela Curtis, Rhiannon Dennison, Krystal Forgesson,

Gemma Flynn, Sian Fremaux, Amelia Gibson, Rose Keddell, Olivia Merry, Stacey Michelsen, Emily Naylor, Brooke Neal, Anita Punt, Aniwaka Roberts, Bianca Russell, Kayla Sharland, Liz Thompson, Petrea Webster
