The America's Cup winners Oracle Team USA have released details of the foil control system used in their win over Team New Zealand in San Francisco.
Drawings and and photos of the system, which used a mechanical feedback loop to allow precise control of the daggerboard rake have been released to the website cupexperience.com.
Skipper Jimmy Spithill had buttons on the wheel to move the daggerboard forwards and backwards in half a degree increments giving him better control over lift for hydrofoiling.
