New Zealand's top badminton doubles pairing of Oliver Leydon-Davis and Kevin Dennerly-Minturn have won the Mexico International Tournament in Guadalajara.
The Denmark-based combination overcame playing at altitude and the vocal home support as they beat a variety of Mexican pairings from the quarter finals onwards, with the New Zealand top seeds pushed to three games in both the semi and the final.
The win is a boost for the New Zealanders who are ranked 60th in the world, as they chase vital world ranking points to qualify for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year.
