There's been mixed reaction to the new format for golf's World Cup which starts tomorrow at Royal Melbourne.
Two-man teams from 30 countries will be competing for a total purse of 8-million US dollars, 7 million of which is for the individual competition, and just 1 million for the team's event.
For the last 13 years, the World Cup has been purely a teams event, but this year eight players in the field aren't in a team at all, and of those who are, none will play together in the first two rounds.
New Zealand is represented by Michael Hendry and Tim Wilkinson.
