South African cricket's leading pace bowler Dale Steyn has been cleared of any doping offence by the Indian Premier League.
Steyn had been asked by the IPL to clarify why elevated levels of morphine were found during a random drugs test while he was playing for the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the Twenty20 competition last April.
The authorities were satisfied with Steyn's explanation that medication he took for migraines was probably responsible for the irregular findings.
