A controversial Eden Hazard penalty in stoppage time salvaged a 2-2 draw for Chelsea against West Bromwich Albion, who were seconds away from inflicting a first Premier League home defeat on a Chelsea side managed by Jose Mourinho.
Hazard scored the hotly disputed 96th-minute penalty that prevented Chelsea from suffering a second successive league defeat, and keep Mourinho's unbeaten home league record at Stamford Bridge to 66 matches following 60 unbeaten games in his first spell there between 2004 and 2007.
West Brom manager Steve Clarke and his players were incensed by referee Andre Marriner's decision to award a penalty when Ramires went down under a challenge from Steven Reid, and questioned how easily the Chelsea midfielder went to ground.
Samuel Eto'o had put Chelsea ahead but goals from Shane Long and Stephane Sessegnon gave West Brom the advantage and were within sight of victory until the late drama.
Elsewhere Liverpool made no mistake crushing Fulham 4-0 at Anfield, with Luis Suarez scoring twice.
Southampton repelled Hull City 4-1, while Aston Villa beat Cardiff 2-0.
