All Whites defender Andrew Durante says if there was one person they could ill afford to lose for the World Cup qualifiers against Mexico, it's their sole English Premier League player Winston Reid.
Reid, the All Whites captain and West Ham defender, will miss the two-match home and away qualifying games after suffering an ankle injury at West Ham training and won't be able to play for up to 10 weeks.
Durante, who captains the Wellington Phoenix, says Reid is one of the most consistent defenders in the Premier League.
The 31-year-old says Reid's a strong defender and a very good on-field organiser.
