Sonny Bill Williams isn't one to step back from a confrontation on the rugby field or in the boxing ring but he was having nothing to do with a metre long snake which slithered into the New Zealand rugby league team's dressing room.
The dual international showed an impressive turn of speed yesterday after a snake was discovered at the side's base at Narrabeen in Sydney.
Kiwi players Frank Pritchard and Alex Glenn have posted a video online of an underwear clad Williams bouncing off a massage table when the metre-long snake was scooped up by his Sydney Roosters teammate Frank Paul Nuuausala and pointed in his direction.
Williams ran over to a group of his fellow Kiwis who were just as scared - one even hiding behind a chair prompting a chorus of laughter from his teamates.
The Kiwis fly to Britain later this week to defend the Rugby League World Cup.
