The Highlanders have signed the young Argentinian tight-head prop Matias Diaz for next year's Super rugby competition.
The 20-year old Diaz made his Test debut for the Pumas this year against Uruguay and most recently played against South Africa in the rugby championship.
Diaz will join the Highlanders in November.
Meanwhile the Chiefs have signed Tasman winger James Lowe to their squad on a two year deal.
