America's Cup syndicates already chasing Team NZ members

Team New Zealand's design and sailing team are under siege from rival challengers keen to snap up their expertise before the next America's Cup, syndicate head Grant Dalton says.

Team New Zealand's campaign, estimated to cost more than $120 million received $36 million in government funding but there's doubt whether there will be more public funding in the future.

Dalton says the priority is to sign a team for the next competition if there is to be a Team New Zealand as there are plenty of billionaires in the sport who would strip the team bare.

Team New Zealand skipper Dean Barker says Swedish challenger Artemis, who were eliminated in the Louis Vuitton Cup, had already approached members of his crew.
