The Canterbury prop Wyatt Crockett and Counties-Manukau winger Lelia Masaga will make their test debuts when the All Blacks play Italy in Christchurch, on Saturday night.

The pair are among seven changes to the starting lineup that won the second test against France in Wellington.

Only hooker Kevan Mealamu remains from the second test front row, with John Afoa starting at tighthead prop.

Halfback Brendon Leonard and lock Ali Williams return, having recovered from hamstring and achilles injuries respectively.

Luke McAlister will start at first five in place of the injured Stephen Donald, who had a less than impressive performance in the last test.

Isaia Toeava joins Ma'a Nonu in the midfield, starting at centre in place of Conrad Smith who wasn't considered because of injury, as was prop Neemia Tialata.

The Canterbury tighthead prop Owen Franks has been called in as cover on the reserves bench, joining Aled de Melmanche, Tony Woodcock, Isaac Ross, George Whitelock, Piri Weepu and Cory Jane.
