The International Cricket Council will strike agreements with law enforcement agencies in Australia and New Zealand to guard against corruption during the 2015 World Cup.
Elite cricket has been rocked by a series of corruption-related scandals around the world in recent years involving players, umpires and officials, and the ICC's chief executive David Richardson says they'll be working more closely with police in the co-hosting countries than in previous World Cups.
Richardson's comments come days after a British newspaper reported that the ICC's Anti-Corruption and Security Unit would probe the recently-concluded one-day series between West Indies and Pakistan, which is alleged to have thrown up suspicious betting patterns and unusual passages of play.
