The new French Open tennis champion Roger Federer is fielding plenty of praise following his success at Roland Garros on Monday, which saw him become the sixth man to achieve a career grand slam.
Federer's win also saw him equal Pete Sampras with 14 grand slam titles.
The Australian Rod Laver did the career slam twice, once as an amateur and once as a professional and both were achieved in a calendar year.
Laver, now 70, says Federer deserves his place and is amazed with the shots that he comes up with from supposedly defensive situations.
