St George Illawarra have gone top of the National Rugby League after beating Penrith 38-10 in Wollongong.
Wendell Sailor scored a double to lead the depleted Dragons to victory, his side brushing off the fact that they were severely weakened from Origin selection to romp to a seven tries to two victory.
The Panthers' four-match winning streak wasn't in doubt until after halftime, when the visitors went to the sheds just a converted try down, the scoreline reading 12-6 in the Dragons' favour.
But the home side ran away with the match in the second half, scoring five tries including two to the chunky winger Sailor.
