The South Dragons co-owner Raphael Geminder has savaged officials behind the reform process in Australian basketball, accusing them of taking the sport backwards.
The Dragons, who just two months ago won the final NBL title before the league is relaunched later this year, made the stunning announcement on Friday that they have decided to pull out of the new competition.
A day later the club have revealed exactly why they made that decision.
Geminder says those in charge of the reform process have "failed to deliver on any of its promises" and the Dragons "cannot tolerate a reform that takes the sport backwards".
