The New Zealand rugby referee Bryce Lawrence will be in charge of one of the three Lions Test matches in South Africa in June and July.

Lawrence has been appointed to the first Test in Durban on June the 20th and the other two matches will be controlled by Frenchman Christophe Berdos and Australia's Stuart Dickinson.

The IRB's referees manager Paddy O'Brien says he met with Lions and South African officials last month and everyone was in favour of neutral referees for the series.
