The Blues' first-choice halfback Taniela Moa will be able to play in tonight's Super 14 match against the Highlanders in Auckland after being charged with assault and granted diversion then fined $1200 by the.New Zealand Rugby Union
Moa appeared in the Auckland District Court on Wednesday, then at a NZRU disciplinary hearing.
The NZRU and the Blues have sanctioned him for his involvement in incident last month at Auckland's Marist club where a bottle was thrown, hitting a woman.
The NZRU General Manager Professional Rugby Neil Sorensen says serious misconduct sanctions include the fine and a fomal warning as well as a one-match suspension, which saw Moa miss last week's Lions match at Eden Park.
He's also been ordered to complete an alcohol counselling programme, which he has started.
Moa has also apologised in writing to the woman and the club.
