New Zealand hold the upper hand going into day three of the second cricket Test against India in Napier, leading by 540 runs.
The Black Caps declared on 619 for nine late yesterday, then took three wickets.
Batsman Jesse Ryder led the way with his highest Test score of 201, also the highest Test score at McLean Park.
But Ryder was out next ball to Zaheer Khan, and he showed his frustration by smashing his bat into the ground.
Ryder says it was just frustrating to get out to a poor stroke, playing onto his own wickets, after such a long stint at the crease.
He batted over eight hours for his double ton.
So India start day three at 11 o'clock on 79 for three with Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid at the crease.
