Phillip Hughes has become the youngest cricketer to score twin centuries in a test, guiding Australia to a massive 506-run advantage after three days of the second Test against South Africa.
Hughes scored an unbeaten 136 as Australia reached 3 for 292 in its second innings at stumps in Durban.
The Proteas were dismissed for 138 in the first over of the day.
Hughes, who is 20 years and 98 days old, breaks a 79-year-old record previously held by the West Indian George Headley.
The Australian captain Ricky Ponting created some history of his own in his innings of 81, passing former captain Steve Waugh's mark of 10,927 runs to move into fourth position on the all-time run scorers list.
