Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook put together a record opening stand of 229 for England against the West Indies on the first day of the fourth cricket Test in Barbados.
Strauss made 142, his 16th Test century, and Cook 94 before England finished the day on 301 for three.
The Kensington Oval wicket was expected to offer plenty of pace and bounce, prompting many to question England's decision to bat first, but it was a good one as they look to overcome a 1-nil deficit in the 5-test series.
