Team New Zealand has its first big encounter in the Louis Vuitton regatta in Auckland today, coming up against BMW Oracle in a race using the American team's two boats.
The race will pit Team New Zealand's skipper Dean Barker, up against his former mentor Russell Coutts who both the chief executive and for this regatta the skipper of BMW Oracle.
At the other end of the competition, the new Greek challenger will be hoping for better luck after being docked one point for colliding with Alinghi on debut yesterday.
The Greek team's skipper Gavin Brady says their learning curve brought another incident at the end of the race.
