The English Premier League football club, Liverpool, has agreed to sign Ivory Coast defender, Kolo Toure, when his Manchester City contract expires in July.

The 32-year-old was initially named as City captain but lost his place in the starting line up in 2011 after a six-month ban for failing a drugs test.

Toure joined City from Arsenal in a deal reported to be worth neary 30-million-dollars in 2009 and leaves the team with FA Cup and English Premier League winners' medals.
