The National Rugby League boss David Smith says he fully backs the referees decision to send off Roosters forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves for a high hit in Monday night's match against Manly.
The Kiwis prop became the first player to be sent off this season after he collected Manly opposite George Rose in a high tackle.
Waerea-Hargreaves is expected to miss between 5 and 7 weeks after being charged by the judiciary yesterday.
Smith says its important to stamp out reckless conduct in rugby league....
