The New Zealand runner Kim Smith has recorded the quickest 5000 metre time of the year at a meeting in Massachusetts.
The time of 15 minutes 2.56 seconds is also her best time since 2009.
It was Smith's second track race this season after a long break from the track, concentrating on road racing in recent years.
The time is well under the World Championship A standard of 15:15 and should confirm her selection for the Moscow World championships in August.
