The Manly fullback Brett Stewart will miss the opening game of rugby league's State or Origin series next month after scans showed a back injury was more serious than first thought.
The Manly coach Geoff Toovey says Stewart won't be able to play for at least a month, after scans showed he had a small bone chip in his back.
That means he'll be unavailable for New South Wales in the opening match against Queensland in Sydney on June 5th.
