The Toffees will face Wigan Athletic in the last eight after running out comfortable winners at Goodison Park.
The scoreline may not look flattering for the Liverpool giants but in reality Everton were largely untroubled, with Mirallas putting the hosts in front on 15 minutes, before Leighton Baines added a 34th-minute penalty.
