The Crusaders winger Sean Maitland could become the latest in a series of New Zealand rugby players to play for Scotland, having signed a two year deal with the Glasgow Warriors.
Maitland who was on the fringes of All Blacks selection after appearing for the under-20 side and the Maori All Blacks, signed with Glasgow earlier this week and could be eligible for the Scottish side immediately, due to his Scottish grandparents.
He'll join the Glasgow side once he completes a medical check and obtains a work visa.
Previous New Zealand players to represent Scotland include Sean Lineen, John and Martin Leslie, Glenn Metcalfe and Brendan Laney.
The All Blacks play Scotland in Edinburgh in two and a half weeks time.
