Barrett stays with All Blacks

5:47 am on 21 September 2012

The Hurricanes first five Beauden Barrett has been retained in the All Black squad that will leave for Argentina tomorrow.

Barrett retains his place as Dan Carter continues to recover from a calf injury.

That means prop Wyatt Crockett drops out of the 28-man travelling squad.

All Blacks Head Coach Steve Hansen says Carter is recovering well and they're expecting him to be fit for selection for the Argentinian Test.

Hansen says it made sense to leave Crockett at home as they can cover all our bases with the other four props.

The All Blacks have a comfortable lead in the Rugby Championship and a draw in La Plata would clinch them the title.

There last match is against the Springboks in Johannesburg the following weekend.
