New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic will play French wildcard Kristina Mladenovic in the 2012 US Open.
Mladenovic is ranked 152 in the world in the singles first round to start early next week.
Erakovic, ranked 54th, has never played the 19-year-old in singles.
If she wins her first round match Erakovic would set up a clash with either Slovak Daniela Hantuchova or Russia Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
The women's top seed is Victoria Azarenka followed by Agnieszka Radwanska, Maria Sharapova and fourth seed is Serena Williams.
Roger Federer is the men's top seed with Novak Djokovic second, Andy Murray third and David Ferrer fourth.
