The Chelsea captain John Terry has been charged by the Football Association following a verbal exchange with Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand during a Premier League match last year, despite being found not guilty in a recent criminal case.

The FA has charged the England centre back for behaviour contrary to FA rules.

Terry has denied the charge and requested a personal hearing.
