The Ukraine striker Andriy Shevchenko announced he'll retire from international football following his country's elimination from Euro 2012 with Wednesday's 1-0 defeat by England.
Goal-line technology is coming soon but not soon enough for the co-hosts - Ukraine who were denied a possible equaliser in the match when it appeared to cross the line before being cleared, however the goal-line official didn't give it.
Shevchenko feels that goal would have made a difference and perhaps they would've gone on to win the game.
The 35-year-old also notes the irony that England were cheated at the last major tournament when a Frank Lampard goal wasn't given when it should have been at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Shevchenko's current deal with Dynamo Kiev is due to expire in July and he has expressed interest in a move to North America's Major League Soccer.
