Nalbandian kicks out twice in bizarre tennis final

The Argentine tennis player David Nalbandian has hit out at the ATP after being sensationally defaulted from his Queen's Club final against Croatia's Marin Cilic.

Nalbandian was one set up and midway through the second set when he dropped serve and kicked an advertising board board at a line judge, who suffered a gashed and bloodied leg.

The former Wimbledon finalist waved his arms in frustration, to the jeers of the capacity crowd, but he later returned to the court to apologise for his actions.

Nalbandian felt he had been harshly punished and lashed out again during a rather strange presentation ceremony.

He will lose all his ranking points and almost $60,000 prize money from the tournament, and he could be fined up to $10,000.
