Boats speeding on latest leg of Volvo Ocean Race

Team New Zealand's boat Camper is sailing on the edge as the team battles extreme conditions in the North Atlantic caused by an intense low pressure system.

Camper is in third place on the eighth leg of the Volvo Ocean race from Lisbon to Lorient in France.

There are just a few miles separating the leading boats and Camper's navigator Will Oxley says it's exciting stuff and they've sailed the quickest they've been on the entire race in the last 24 hours.

With just over 300 miles to go to the leg finish, Oxley says it'll be personnel rather than the boats that will decide the winner of this leg.
