The West Indies opening batsman Chris Gayle, who has been out of international cricket for more than a year after a dispute with the West Indies Cricket Board, could end up playing some part in the remaining two tests in England.

The former West Indies captain has made peace with his country's board, and now that his Royal Challengers Bangalore team has been eliminated from the Indian Premier League, the West Indies tour captain Darren Sammy hasn't ruled out the possibility of Gayle's return for the final two tests in England.

England won the opening test at Lords, achieving their target of 191 with five wickets to spare.
