Newcastle and Tottenham have kept the pressure on Arsenal for third place in the English Premier football League.
Newcastle won 2-nil at Chelsea after a goal-of-the-season contender by Papiss Demba Cisse confirmed the result late in the second half.
The Senegal international also scored the first goal and now has thirteen goals in twelve appearances since arriving in January.
Newcastle are 5th, while Chelsea remain 6th and it appears their only chance of making the European Champions League next season is by winning the final against Bayern Munich later this month.
Meanwhile, Tottenham maintained their run for a Champions League spot with a 4-1 away victory over relegation-threatened Bolton to stay 4th.
