Blues banking on simplified game plan to chalk up second win

The Blues are hoping a simplified game plan will be the key to ending a week of turmoil at the Super rugby franchise.

With just one win from six games so far the Blues sit at the bottom of the New Zealand conference and second to last in the competition overall.

Their poor form has led to racial abuse of coach Pat Lam and captain Keven Mealamu has criticised teamate Piri Weepu for being overweight and not contributing as much as he should to the side.

The Blues halfback Alby Matthewson says a win tonight against the South African side the Sharks at Eden Park would provide a much needed boost to the team and those supporters who've stuck by them.
