Otago has beaten Southland and Auckland defeated Nelson in the latest matches in the National Basketball League.
Otago beat their neighbours 85-74 on the road at Southland Stadium velodrome, while second-placed Auckland gave Nelson their second straight loss 101-93 at Auckland's ASB Stadium.
