Camper optimistic for rest of race

The skipper of Team New Zealand's boat Camper, Chris Nicholson, is optimistic about their chances in the Volvo Ocean Race.

The New Zealanders are third overall halfway around the world, following their 4th place finish into Auckland yesterday.

Nicholson knows he doesn't have the quickest boat in the fleet, but senses there are some good things to come and says they've weathered the tough times well so far.

He says it will take a team of character to turn it around in the next leg where there will be a lot of down wind sailing.

There is an in-port race on Saturday before the fleet leaves for Brazil on Sunday.
