Quarterback Peyton Manning has been released by the Indianapolis Colts after a 14-year stint with the franchise that included a Super Bowl win and four National Football League MVP awards.
35 year old Manning missed all of last season after neck surgery, and he was due a $34-million bonus if the club had decided to keep him.
Doctors have cleared Manning, who had never missed a start before last season, to resume his career, and he's returned to training.
