Zespri is involved in an investigation by Chinese in China.
An agent is accused of failing to pay import costs on New Zealand kiwifruit entering China.
Zespri says one of its four independent agents working there was arrested in June.
It says the agent and the company are involved in the investigation.
Zespri says there have been reports that Chinese officials have seized large quantities of kiwifruit as part of the inquiry, but that is not the case to the best of its knowledge.
It won't reveal any more details while the investigation is underway.
